Objective c label text not updating
To do this, wrap the Objective-C code in a library and create a binding to it.
Xamarin.i OS is needed to bootstrap the application (meaning it must create the entry point).
I want to change a text of a label but I can't do it, I can see it changing on the shell but not on the UI.
Syntax-wise, Objective-C is like Smalltalk, whereas C# derives much of its fundamental syntax from Java, although it has matured to included many capabilities beyond Java in recent years.
That said there are several language features of both Objective-C and C# that are similar in function.
i OS and OS X applications developed in Objective-C can benefit from Xamarin by leveraging C# in places where platform-specific code is not required, allowing such code to be used on non-Apple devices.
Things such as web services, JSON and XML parsing, and custom algorithms can then be used in a cross-platform manner.I even directly change the text of the label by referencing its id but still its not updating. class Main App(Screen, Event Dispatcher): title = "Top 10 Plays of 2015" def __init__(self,*args,**kwargs): super(Main App, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) def change_curr_title(self, title, *args): self.title = title lbl = self.title print(lbl Title.text) pass class Other Videos(Box Layout, Event Dispatcher): def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): super(Other Videos,self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) Videos() def load Videos(self): self.clear_widgets() con = Mongo Client() db = vids = db.videos.find() vidnum = 1 for filename in vids: myid = "vid" str(vidnum) getfilename = filename['filename'] button = Button(id=myid, text=getfilename, color=[0,0.7,1,1], bold=1) button.bind(on_release=partial(self.change_Title, getfilename)) self.add_widget(button) vidnum = 1 def change_Title(self, title, *args): main = Main App() main.change_curr_title(title) Is there anyway to upload my whole code on this?
